As I move through the online world, there are some really great ideas for “how to get life done” offered by everyday folks. I use them. I recommend them to my patients, but when it’s important for people to understand the “why” behind the “what”, that’s when I want an expert.
When I want a really great recipe that I can trust, Ina Garten is my go-to. She explains it all. When a quick semi-homemade dish is needed, there are lots of other great resources. I use them all. Most of the time, the recipes are ones that “qualify for a recipe card”. If they make it through a few seasons, then they qualify to be laminated. It’s all about who I can trust, and which sites give me what I need when I need it. Consistency, reliability, predictability and quality…those are my driving needs when it’s time to cook or bake.
That’s where Sock Puppet Shrink comes in. And, yes, I will be offering short articles called “Recipes for Resolution” and other fun titles, but don’t pre-heat the oven just yet. Sock Puppet Shrink has a variety of ways to reach you and teach you. You only need to explore.
Education, training, experience, and connection create that relationship where expertise is evident, and trust is felt. You’re assured that when you stop in, you’ll leave with a handful of ideas and strategies, as well as the understanding of “why” to use them. It’s your choice to determine the “what” to use, and when and how to tailor strategies to fit the unique needs of your life.
